Evidence of poor waste management in Manali

Old Manali is the toast of the European and Israeli crowd trooping in for the summer. Many expats and rich Indians own business establishments among the depleting apple trees and the crowded bylanes of this once self-sustaining village. Today, Old Manali is one of the filthiest places in Manali.

Solang Nala is a huge trash bin. There are several kilos of plastic waste lying in the open here.

The trampoline in Solang Nala is eye-catching because of the refuge lying underneath it.
